See the path from visitor to conversation

The panel's Visitors page shows the context around a conversation: who comes to your site, where they come from, and which pages they start chatting on. This is tracked with an anonymous counter independent of conversation records; individual visitors are not profiled.

Visit counting starts with the current widget version. If your site still loads an older version this page stays empty; counts accumulate once the widget is updated.

Sources

A visit is classified as organic search, paid ads, social media, an AI assistant (e.g. ChatGPT), email, a campaign link, another site, or direct. The classification is derived from click identifiers, UTM tags and the referring address; adding UTM tags to your own campaign links makes the source more precise. Under each source group you can see exactly which site, search engine or assistant sent the visit.

A period can be a day, a week or a custom date range; each period shows visits, chats and the requests that came from them together, so you can tell which source produces real conversations rather than just traffic.

On site now

The page shows, live, how many visitors are currently on the site, which pages they are on and which countries they come from. Device breakdown appears in the same strip.

This view keeps no per-person record; it reflects only the current total, and a visitor leaves no trace once they go. The live counter lives in temporary memory only: it resets when the web process restarts and refills on its own. Each open tab in a visitor's browser sends a periodic signal, and a closing signal is sent when they leave the page.

Weekly summary

At the start of each week, a short summary is generated from the previous week's visits, sources and chats. The summary is based on the actual numbers and highlights three points.

A separate Comment box carries one or two short observations. Those observations are derived from the numbers alone; they contain no forecast and no claim that the figures do not support. The first summaries produced may have an empty comment box.

Privacy boundary

The anonymous counter carries no personal data. A visitor who starts a chat may have an approximate location and device recorded on that conversation; this is kept only for the conversation's lifetime. Your own team's visits to the site are excluded from the counter. See the security and data page for the full data approach.
