Getting started

Prepare your first agent

The goal of initial setup is not to configure every option. Publish one small, verifiable use case, such as answering opening-hour questions and collecting appointment requests.

1. Complete business and agent details

Enter the business name, contact details and the agent's visible identity in the panel. Choose a persona, then check tone and response languages. A persona does not replace business facts; it only influences how those facts are expressed.

2. Add a focused knowledge set

Start with one web page, short text or file that covers your most common questions. Wait until processing is complete before judging the result. Remove or update conflicting old material: retrieval cannot determine which of two contradictory policies is authoritative without a clear source.

3. Test with real questions

Use the panel playground and the words customers actually use. Include at least:

  • A question with an explicit answer in the knowledge base
  • A question that needs evidence from two passages
  • A question with no answer
  • A case that should create a request or reach a person
  • A short message in English and every other supported language

4. Connect and publish a channel

Follow Widget setup for web or Channels for messaging. After launch, review early conversations in the unified inbox. Unanswered real questions are usually the best input for the next knowledge update.

Release criterion

An agent is ready when it answers important questions from evidence, respects its boundary when it does not know, and hands off at the right time—not when every setting is filled.
