Team
Several people can work in the panel. Each person's role decides what they can see and what they can change.
Three roles
- Viewer — Sees conversations, requests and reports; cannot change anything.
- Member — Replies to customers; edits requests, contacts and the knowledge base.
- Owner — Everything a member does, plus manages the AI Agent, settings, channels, team and actions.
Permissions are narrowed further per screen. Connecting channels, managing the team, defining actions, widget appearance, setup and allowed domains can only be changed by an owner. Other roles can view these screens but are rejected on save; this matters when you plan who on your team edits what.
The team screen shows how many open requests and open conversations each member carries. This is for seeing workload, not for measuring performance.
Invites
Inviting and changing roles is the owner's responsibility. An invite link is valid for seven days and returns to the password setup screen.
If the person already has a Dolphy account, no new account is created; they are added to the team directly and told so. If the invite email cannot be sent, the invite row is reverted so no unusable invitation is left behind.
Account and password
Sign-up is closed. Our sales team opens the account. There is no self-registration path in the panel; joining a team happens through an invitation.
A password must be at least 8 characters, no more than 72 bytes, and must not contain the local part of your email address. Passwords that appear in known breached-password lists are rejected.
Changing a password requires the current one and cannot repeat the old one. After the change, sessions on your other devices are closed and a notification email is sent.
No two-factor authentication
Dolphy has no two-factor authentication and no session-count limit. Closing other sessions on a password change is the only control in this area. If your organisation requires an access policy, talk to our team.
Several workspaces
A person can belong to more than one business. In that case a workspace switcher appears in the panel. The selection is remembered; with no selection the oldest membership is used, so the same person does not land in a different business each time they open the panel.
Team notifications
You choose which events send email from account settings: a new request, an off-hours request, 80% of the monthly allowance, a conversation dropping to the team, the weekly summary and unanswered questions building up. No email is sent for events that are switched off.
Alongside these, the panel has an in-app notification screen. That screen shows system events only and is not a substitute for inbox notifications.
