Who processes it

This site and the chatbot on it are operated by Dolphy. For the data collected here, Dolphy is the controller.

For businesses running Dolphy with their own customers the roles differ: the business is the controller of customer data and Dolphy processes it on their behalf.

What data is processed

Depending on what you do on the site:

  • Chat content: the messages you write to the bot and the answers it gives.
  • Session data: a random session id that keeps your messages in one conversation, held in your browser's local storage.
  • Context: the address of the page where you started the chat and the referring address, if any.
  • Contact details: only if you provide them. Answers in the demo request flow are not stored on this site; they are turned into a WhatsApp message.
  • WhatsApp hand-off record: when you start a chat through a WhatsApp button on the site, the reference code at the end of the message, the ad click ID and campaign tags if you came from an ad, the page you came from and your cookie choice are recorded. No name, phone number or message content is stored in it. If a sale follows, the click ID with the sale time and amount is sent to Google Ads.
  • Technical records: server access logs and error logs.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics (GA4) measures how many people visit and which pages they read; Google Ads and the Meta pixel measure the results of our ads. If you decline in the cookie banner, Google's tools write no cookie and send a cookieless, identifier-free signal; the Meta pixel and the measurement copy our server sends to Meta (Conversions API) run only if you accept. These tools pass your IP address and browser details to their provider. Browser local storage keeps your chat session going; it is not sent to the server as an identifier.

Fonts are served from our own servers. No request goes to a third party such as Google Fonts, so your IP address is not shared for that purpose.

Why it is processed

  • To answer your question and keep the context of the conversation.
  • To respond to the demo or information request you send.
  • To keep the service secure and detect abuse and errors.
  • To measure and improve the quality of the bot's answers.

Who it is shared with

We do not sell your data. We use these providers to run the service:

  • Supabase (open source): database and file storage, hosted on our own server in France.
  • OpenAI: answer generation. Storage is disabled on our calls and the data is not used to train models; the provider may keep limited records for abuse monitoring.
  • Resend: delivering request notifications by email.
  • Meta: if you write via WhatsApp or Instagram, that channel's own terms also apply.

Data minimisation

Contact details such as phone numbers and email addresses are never sent to the language model. When the bot collects them in conversation they are written straight to the database and never enter the model's prompt.

International transfers

Servers are in France, so data is hosted within the European Union. From a Turkish law standpoint this still counts as a transfer abroad and is subject to the transfer rules of the Turkish data protection law. The model provider is also based outside Turkey.

How long it is kept

Chat and request records are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and provide the service. On request, records are deleted.

Your rights

You may access your data and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted. Details and how to apply are on the data protection notice page.

Changes

This text is updated as the product evolves. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
